Güldem Topçu is a master student at İstanbul Technical University (ITU), Turkey. She worked in the private sector.

The aim of her study is to determine the criteria affecting the mode selection in intermodal transport and their importance ratings with choice-based conjoint analysis analysis. The criteria list gathered from the literature is narrowed down to six using expert opinions. These are: cost, time, carbon dioxide emission, company reliability, damage and losses and transportation mode. These criteria were analyzed in the study.

Surveys target audience has been chosen from logistics companies, their employees, and shippers. Her project will benefit the logistics sector.
