Astrid Cocquyt

Astrid Cocquyt is a PhD student at Ghent University (Belgium) and a research associate at University College Ghent. She obtained a degree of Master of Science in Business Economics in 2016 at Ghent University and an Academic Teacher Education in Economics and Business Economics at Ghent University in 2017. She participates in a research project “The importance of social capital in the start-up phase of social entrepreneurs” and teaches at University College Ghent.

Her research interests include social entrepreneurship and sustainable fashion. In a current research project, she is investigating potential characteristics of a clothing sharing platform where the customer does not own the fashion items but can access and use them for a limited time. By using an adaptive choice-based conjoint design, she wants to find the preferred features of such a platform based on the opinion and vision of the local community.
