Miryam Berliner

Miryam Berliner is a PhD student at the Department of Economics and Business Management at Ariel University (Israel). Her MA she obtained at the Department of Management, Bar-Ilan University. Miryam is a certified accountant (CPA).

Her research includes Family and Labor Economics.

In her current research project Miryam is investigating "Divorced Parents' Preferences Regarding Care and Responsibility of Their Children", by using choice-based conjoint analysis.

Even after their divorce, parents have to cooperate continuously in order to bring up their shared children. In her research, Miryam examines divorced parents' preferences in regard of their mutual parenting attributes. Establishing their preferences will help mediators and judges to reach settlements that maximize the benefit of both parties. Along with focusing on the children’s best interests, it is crucial to take into consideration the divorced parents' preferences in order to reach the optimal formula.
