Philipp Stimberg

Philipp Stimberg is a master student of Economics focusing on management, innovation and marketing at the University of Bielefeld in Germany. Prior to his master, he obtained the Bachelor of Science (Economics) at the University of Paderborn. He is now writing his master thesis using the Sawtooth Software for analyses.

His research focuses on preferences consumers have regarding the autonomy of vehicle functions and their willingness to pay for these functions. He got his idea to research in this field from a paper written by the Department of Marketing and Innovation at the University of Bielefeld. Self-driving vehicles will be seen on the streets soon, but academic literature says that there could be many concerns, especially for elderly people, who are not so involved in innovation and technical autonomy. For that reason, Philipp also investigates the differences between certain age groups in the field of autonomous vehicles respectively vehicle functions.
