Fabian Baumann is currently completing his master's degree in Market-Oriented Management (M.Sc.) at TH Köln - University of Applied Sciences (Germany). He holds a B.A. in International Management from Hochschule Worms - University of Applied Sciences. He is also a working student at Ampega Asset Management (Cologne) and a Co-Founder and Board Member of CellAg Deutschland e.V., an independent non-profit organization with the aim to accelerate cellular agriculture (e.g., cultivated meat) in the German-speaking region.
In his research, Fabian Baumann is investigating the decision-making criteria of investors in the alternative protein industry. Specifically, he is seeking to obtain a better understanding of the main decision criteria of alternative protein investors and how these differ in relative importance within the screening process. Fabian's motivation is to better understand how alternative protein investors make decisions, which aims to help a) investors in alternative protein to better understand their actual decision-making process and identify potential biases and b) startups in this emerging industry to better understand how and which investor groups they should approach in order to increase the likelihood that they will be successful throughout their future fundraising campaigns. Fabian aims to provide novel insights that foster the gathering of new ventures with investors in the alternative protein space for the benefit of animals, humans, and the earth.
