Using Pass-In Fields for Skip Logic

Hello - I have 2 conjoint exercises. I would like for respondents to see one of the two based on a variable I'm passing in as a pass-in field in the URL called "type".

The pass-in field seems to be working correctly, but the skip logic isn't working. It seems that there is a disconnect in "reading" the value of the variable type.

Can anyone provide some insight on how to set this up correctly? Do I need to define the list of possible options for "type" somewhere as well?

What skip logic are you using?  What data type have you set the pass-in field to?
