Confidence Interval for Sample Size for CBC Study?

Hello, can anyone help me on the sample size and its confidence interval carried out on a CBC study? For example, I am using the given guidelines mentioned on the Sawtooth website to determine sample size in a CBC study, sometimes due to peculiarity of the study it is not possible to recruit the recommended sample size in such cases if we reduce the sample size by 10-20% then, what would be the confidence interval (%) of the newly reduced sample size?

As it turns out we answered this question at length a few months back on our LinkedIn Users Group discussion board.  A link to that article is here:  https://www.sawtoothsoftware.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=2061

We show how to do this analysis for MaxDiff on the Users Group as well:  https://www.linkedin.com/feed/update/urn:li:activity:6587862692202115072
