This dialog lets you control the layout of the ACA Calibration Concepts question.
Pixels: Many of the settings use "pixels" as a measure of width or height. A pixel is a tiny unit, whose relative size depends on the resolution of the respondent's monitor. A common monitor setting is 800 x 600 pixels, which means that the screen area is 800 pixels wide and 600 pixels tall. Thus, with an 800 x 600 resolution setting, a pixel is about 1/800th the width of the screen.
Question Format
Question Layout: Lets you specify whether to show the calibration concepts as a unified question on a single page (Horizontal layout) or one on top of the other (on a single or multiple pages) in Vertical format.
Question Width (pixels): This determines the width of the entire question. We suggest you choose a question width that will work well on most respondents' screens, so that they will not have to scroll to the right to see the full question. Most respondents use a resolution of at least 800 x 600. We have chosen 635 as the default so that even those using a 640 x 480 resolution can see the entire question (assuming their browser window is maximized).
Question Border: This is the "border" attribute for a table in HTML. The border is placed on the outside of the product concepts, and a narrow line separates the attribute levels. If you use a border, a width of 1 to 7 pixels is common.
Space Between Cells (pixels): This is the "cellspacing" attribute in HTML. Questions are made up of many cells within tables. Generally, questions look best with no or very little space between those cells. An interesting effect may be accomplished by specifying just a 1- or 2-pixel border, as the small separation between the cells takes on the background color for your survey, or if specified, the background color for this question.
Space Between Border and Cell Contents (pixels): This is the "cellpadding" attribute in HTML. Generally, a cellpadding between 0 to 15 pixels works well.
Question Alignment: This determines the relative position of the question on the screen. You may choose Left, Center, Right, or Tabbed. If you choose Tabbed, the question is indented the number of pixels specified under Survey Settings... on the Format Tab in the Question Indent Width field.
Include Margins: Places an additional margin (that assumes the background color of the question) to the left and right of the product concepts.
Background Color
The background color is used in the header, footer and anchor text areas at the top of the question, and between cells if you specify Space Between Cells greater than zero pixels.
