CBC Fixed Choice Task Settings
CBC Fixed tasks are those that are usually used in CBC questionnaires as "Holdout Choice Tasks". "Random" choice tasks are used for estimating utilities, whereas Fixed tasks are usually "held out" (omitted) from that estimation. The part-worth utilities developed from the Random tasks can be placed into our market simulator to predict respondents' choices to the Fixed tasks. The degree to which the model developed from the Random tasks can predict the holdout tasks provides an indication of the quality of the model and the internal reliability of the data.
As the study author, you are required to specify the composition of each of the Fixed tasks by choosing the attribute levels that make up each product concept. You do this using the drop-down items within this dialog. It is important that you have a strategy for creating these tasks. Please see the section on Holdout Choice Tasks within this documentation.
You can toggle between all fixed tasks within your study using the Fixed Choice Task drop down box in the upper-left corner of this dialog.
