Ana Maria Moga

Ana Moga is an FRQ-S PhD candidate in Health Preference Research at the Faculty of Medicine, Rehabilitation Science, and the Center for Outcomes Research and Evaluation Research Institute, McGill University. Ana is dedicated to understanding and improving patients' experiences with healthcare and the decision-making process for treatment, ultimately enhancing the quality of care.

Her current research focuses on developing the Preference-Based Index of Weight-Related Quality of Life (PBI-WRQL). To date, Ana designed a PBI-WRQL Prototype as the first step of this project to demonstrate its feasibility (https://rdcu.be/c3tCE). Then, she completed the PBI-WRQL classification system that genuinely captures what matters most to individuals living with excess weight across the globe regarding health (publication under review).

In the current study, Ana is excited to continue her work with people living with excess weight to:

    1.  Elicit preferences for health states using the PBI-WRQL classification system in a Discrete Choice Experiment;
    2.  Estimate the extent to which these health state preferences are stable on repeat assessment, and
    3.  Estimate health utilities for cost-effectiveness analysis of weight treatments.

The Discrete Choice Experiment used for this study is set up, hosted, and analyzed with Sawtooth Software.

Ana is also a physical therapist and faculty member at the School of Physical Therapy at McGill University, where she teaches cardiopulmonary rehabilitation, exercise physiology, and research methods.
