After graduation, she studied abroad at the University of Fribourg, where she obtains a M.A. degree in International and European Business and continues pursuing a PhD. Her research field is management in emerging markets with a focus on emerging market multinational enterprises (EMNEs), organizational attractiveness, and corporate social responsibility (CSR).

Attracting qualified workforce is crucial for all MNEs in general in today war for talent. This issue is particularly more challenging for EMNEs as they suffer from double disadvantages of liabilities of foreignness plus liabilities of emergingness. Therefore, the question arises as how EMNEs can become more attractive to prospective applicants in developed markets. Her first study shows that good CSR can help EMNEs overcome country-of-origin constraints on attracting talent. Nevertheless, it has not been investigated how much EMNE’s CSR engagement matter to applicants compared with more utilitarian attributes like salary in their job-choice process. Thus, in her current research project, she applies conjoint analysis to empirically investigate the role of CSR in applicant attraction of EMNEs. The findings will provide better insights into how CSR influences applicants’ evaluations towards EMNEs.
