Claudia Wenzel is a doctoral candidate and research associate in Business Administration at the Chair for Marketing and Market Research at the University of Zurich, Switzerland. She obtained her master’s in Management and Economics at the University of Zurich and started her PhD after an internship in Customer Data Intelligence at SWISS International Airlines.
Claudia focuses on online privacy and information sharing in the digital environment. In specific, she is interested in what kind of information people are comfortable with sharing online for specific a purpose and compensation. Her research was inspired through the introduction of the General Data Processing Agreement (GDPR), which, at least to some extent, missed its point of “notice and choice” for customers. Using an online experiment and a decision-based conjoint analysis, Claudia analyzes consumers preferences when sharing information online. Her research aims at finding nudges that lead to more informed consent and control of consumers.
