Cordula Drach is a research assistant at the Chair of Health Management at Friedrich-Alexander-University Erlangen-Nuremberg. She holds a B. A. degree in Business Science with a specialization in health management as well as a M.Sc. degree in Health Management and Health Economics. In the project QualiPRO, which is funded by the Innovation Fund of the Joint Federal Committee, she was a member of a research team and investigates the patient reported quality of life of patients who receive a hip endoprosthesis. In another project, she is looking at the quality of hospitals in the region. Her dissertation focuses on men's and women's choice behavior regarding contraceptive methods in the context of hypothetical choices. Existing measures will be classified and discussed on the basis of these results. The special feature of conducting the discrete choice experiment within this research project is the consideration of all genders. Thus, the balance between the needs of the population and the possibilities of the market shall be considered. The overall aim is not only to classify currently available contraceptives in terms of preference structures, but also to identify relevant criteria that provide the greatest benefit.
