Davran Niyazmetov

Davron Niyazmetov is a Ph.D. student at the Department of Agricultural, Environmental and Food Policy, Martin Luther University of Halle-Wittenberg, Germany. He holds Bachelor's and Master’s degrees in Economics.

His current Ph.D. research project is aimed at understanding the preferences of farmers regarding land contracts under the conditions of prevalent land tenure insecurity and the absence of private property rights to land in Uzbekistan. Data and results from the discreet choice experiment will be used to address land policy issues faced in Uzbekistan during the transitional period.
