Euan Lloyd

Euan is a provisional psychologist currently studying his Master of Clinical Psychology at the Australian National University (ANU). His honours thesis, completed at the University of Western Australia, used ecological momentary assessment to investigate whether changes in positive and negative emotions over time predict levels of psychopathology such as anxiety and mood disorders.

His current research aims to guide the development of a new clinical psychology service situated on the ANU campus for students and the local community. Using a Choice-Based Conjoint experiment, participants are presented with a number of hypothetical clinics with varying attributes such as wait times, cost, and the types of treatment offered. The relative importance of each attribute will be determined in order to understand the highest priority needs of the local community.

The quantitative data produced by the discrete-choice experiment is to be analysed in conjunction with qualitative data from focus groups involving stakeholders in the community in order to make final recommendations for the design of the service.
