Gian Florin is a final-year undergraduate student pursuing a degree in Business Administration at the University of St. Gallen in Switzerland. His Bachelor thesis investigates customer needs and willingness to pay in the context of Open Insurance (OPIN), which is a rapidly evolving concept that enables the secure sharing of insurance data via APIs to create more transparent, user-centered digital services.
His research explores how consumers evaluate different features of OPIN-based platforms, including data access control, personalization, cost structures, and trust in platform providers. Using a choice-based conjoint analysis (CBC), Gian surveys German-speaking respondents from the DACH region (Switzerland, Germany, Austria) to determine which combinations of attributes are most valued by users.
