Hannah Povall is a cotutelle PhD student on the Aston Deakin Cotutelle Program, conducting her research in the School of Psychology at Aston University, and the School of Exercise and Nutrition Sciences at Deakin University. Hannah's PhD focuses on understanding the wider social and family contextual factors that impact parents feeding practices and child eating behaviours.
Through the use of choice-based conjoint analysis, Hannah's work aims to understand which aspects of mealtimes parents are prioritising with their preschool children. Additionally, identifying how parents’ decisions about mealtimes relate to key parental contextual variables (e.g. parent stress or parent wellbeing) and child outcomes (diet quality). This will allow for better understanding of how to tailor future interventions and support parents with their children's healthy eating.
