Johannes Greib is a master's student of Business Administration and Civil Engineering at the RWTH Aachen University in Germany. Previously, he completed his Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and Civil Engineering, studying at RWTH Aachen University and Technion (Israel Institute of Technology).
In his master's thesis at the Department of Finance, Johannes is focusing on the integration of ecological characteristics into target costing for real estate project development. This extension of current practices should enable real estate project developers to assess the use of ecological products against the background of the product value relation, desired by the user. Furthermore, divergences between a purely economic and an economic/ ecological perspective will be explored by comparing the results to the conventional target costing approach. In order to determine the importance of ecology in comparison to other significant functions of a building, Sawtooth Software's CBC method is used.
