Justinas Kanopa received MPhil in Industrial systems, Manufacturing and Management in 2012 from University of Cambridge (Cambridge, United Kingdom), BSc Food science and Business in 2011 from University of Reading (Reading, United Kingdom), expected Master of Management in 2021 from ISM University of Management and Economics (Vilnius, Lithuania) and BI Norwegian Business School (Oslo, Norway).
Justinas used the Sawtooth Grant for his Master Thesis on the topic "Impact of meat alternatives on consumer preferences for boiled sausages in Lithuania." The goal of the master thesis is to estimate what impact meat alternatives have on consumer preferences for boiled sausages in Lithuania.
The main finding in the research was that introduction of meat alternatives into boiled sausages could reduce consumer preferences for boiled sausage from 77,8% to 86,5%. Therefore, it was not recommended for company "Rokiškio mėsinė" management to develop boiled sausage made of meat alternatives due to low market potential and high risks.
