Lauren Kennedy-Barrows is a doctoral candidate at the University of Toronto (Canada) where she's digging deeper into the world of education. Her research focuses on micro-credentials, those small and stackable qualifications offered by Canadian colleges and universities, and understanding the reasons behind their appeal to Canadians.
Equipped with M.A. and B.A. degrees in Applied Language Studies from Carleton University, Lauren combines her academic background with professional experience in higher education administration and high-stakes assessment in her research. This is especially the case as she examines the transitions into, out of, and back into higher education. Stay tuned as she examines what it is about micro-credentials that affect Canadians' educational program choices.
