Linda Chang | Grant Recipient

Linda is a doctoral student in the Psychology Department at Harvard University. She investigates the psychological mechanisms underlying bias and discrimination in social decision-making. She is interested in creating scalable interventions to reduce harm and increase equity. In her dissertation, she examines context-dependence in social decision-making.

Using choice-based conjoint experiments, she hopes to understand when individuals flexibly shift how they weigh different attributes for promotion and hiring decisions, and whether pre-commitment to evaluation criteria can help individuals make more consistent decisions.
