Luca Lazzaro is a research associate and PhD student at the Chair of Marketing and Marketing Research. He obtained his Bachelor of Science in Management at the University of Lausanne and his Master of Arts in Business and Economics at the University of Zurich.
During his studies, he developed a keen interest in the field of economics exploring people's behavior. More specifically, he focused his attention on behavioral economics and consumer decisions. With his master's thesis, he explored social influence in relation to social networks with an online multiplayer experiment.
His research aims to investigate the role of social influence on the diffusion of products or behaviors within a population. The primary objective is to develop an interactive experimental design that records diffusions on social networks. The current project aims to contribute to the literature in two ways: first, by proposing a flexible experimental framework that can be adapted to various research questions. Second, applying the experimental design to new research questions we can help deepen the understanding of factors that shape the spread of products or behaviors in a population.
