Melissa Satzger is a PhD candidate at the University of Hamburg in Germany. She holds a Bachelor's degree from the Munich University of Applied Sciences in Business Administration and a Master's degree from the Technical University of Munich in Consumer Science, with a focus on Human Resource Management, Strategy and Leadership.
Her research primarily focuses on the organizational attractiveness of public employers and the dynamics of word-of-mouth. Within her research project, she seeks to examine why employees with work experience recommend (or not) their employers to others. Employing a realistic approach of trade-off tasks in an experimental Adaptive Choice-Based Conjoint (ACBC) methodology, she investigates which and to what extent employees from different sectors (i.e., public and private sector) prioritize certain employment attributes (e.g., social attributes), when recommending their employers to others.
