Mojca Svetek is a doctoral student and a teaching assistant at the School of Economics and Business, University of Ljubljana, Slovenia. She holds two master’s degrees – one in psychology (Faculty of Arts, University of Ljubljana) and one in business administration (School of Economics and Business, University of Ljubljana). She is a recipient of several academic prizes, including the highly regarded Nahtigal award (field of psychology), Prešeren award (field of economics and business), and University of Ljubljana award for the best student achievements.
Her research interests include the economics of well-being, individual well-being, industrial relations, gender-based discrimination, entrepreneurial risk-taking and failure, and equity investing. In her doctorate, Mojca is focusing on equity financing in the early stages of new ventures. The focal point of her research is investor signal perception and decision-making in the context of high uncertainty and information scarcity.
