Driven by a keen interest in comprehending how product features shape perceptions of environmental friendliness, Nihad's aspiration is to bridge the gap between intentions and actions. Her research is geared towards uncovering subtle nuances that influence consumer perceptions and behaviors. By illuminating the perceptual barriers that hinder environmentally sustainable choices, Nihad seeks to empower stakeholders with insights for making informed decisions that drive positive environmental impact.

Nihad's master's thesis revolves around the fundamental question: "How do different attributes of product packaging influence consumers' perception of its environmental friendliness?" Through a comprehensive Choice-Based Conjoint Analysis Study, her investigation delves into this intricate relationship. Utilizing the Hierarchical Bayes estimation method for analysis, Nihad's findings unveil intriguing patterns in consumer decision-making. Notably, despite the actual environmental impact, the study reveals a prevalent preference for glass packaging over plastic, reflecting a perceptual discord. The pivotal role of visual cues, such as labels and colors, emerges as a significant factor in bridging the gap between consumer intentions and their impact on the environment. Moreover, the study underscores the importance of clear and informative labeling as a powerful tool for influencing consumer choices. Noteworthy demographic insights reveal that certain groups, including women, younger individuals, and those with higher education, exhibit a heightened preference for blue-colored packaging. Her work offers practical insights that can inform sustainable practices and contribute to a more environmentally conscious society.
