Philipp Freese

Philipp Freese is a master's student at RWTH-Aachen and is studying industrial engineering with a specialization in mechanical engineering. He also received his bachelor's degree in this field.

In his master's thesis, he is investigating which additional products and services can be offered at charging stations for electric cars to increase comfort for users. The focus is on additional offers that are economical for the operator and offer added value for the user. High-power charging stations with the target group of long-distance drivers on the German market are considered. In a quantitative end-user survey, the willingness to pay for various products and services is to be determined in order to identify the added value. The survey will be conducted in the style of a CBC study. In the process, the additional offers will be divided into categories, each of which has different levels of proficiency.

The aim of the analysis is then to evaluate the profitability of the products and services and to determine competitive advantages. Concepts for the operators are to be developed based on these data and findings.
