Pia Braun

Pia Braun is a PhD candidate (Doctor of Public Health) at the Faculty of Medicine, Centre for Health and Society, at the Heinrich Heine University Düsseldorf, Germany. In her current research project, she focuses on attitudes towards and acceptance of digital health applications (e.g., health apps) among physicians and psychotherapists. She will be using Sawtooth Software to explore information preferences of future healthcare providers on how they would like to be informed about digital health applications by comparing acceptance-facilitating interventions. Her main goal is to educate healthcare providers about technology innovations in the field of digital medicine to improve dissemination of such innovations into the German healthcare system.

Pia holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the Université de Luxembourg (Luxembourg), a Master of Science in Work & Organizational Psychology from the Maastricht University (the Netherlands), and a Master of Science in Psychology in Sport & Exercise from the German Sport University Cologne (Germany). Pia also works as the product team lead of the Rehappy GmbH. Rehappy developed a digital health application (DiGA) for the rehabilitation of stroke patients.
