Simon Hufnagel

Simon Hufnagel is currently completing his master's degree in Information Systems at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology.

He holds a B.A. in Information Engineering and Management.In his studies he focuses on engineering and transformation of information systems, smart systems and sustainability in logistics. His bachelor's thesis led him to electromobility, in which he studied the environmental footprint of electric cars.

His current research is about the "Analysis of customer acceptance of reconditioned electric batteries". Thereby, he aims to identify the conditions under which owners of electric cars would be willing to buy reconditioned batteries instead of new electric batteries. This could contribute a significant advance for the sustainability of electric cars.
