Sharing & Collaboration

Collaboration

The collaboration feature allows you to share your survey with other licensed users. Licensed collaborators have full access to shared surveys. They can make changes, view results, and download files.

Inviting collaborators

To invite collaborators, simply enter their email address associated with their Sawtooth license and click the “Share Survey” button. An email is sent and the survey is added to their account. The new collaborator can then access the survey.

Removing collaborators

To remove collaborators, navigate to the collaboration management table and click the trash can next to the email of the collaborator you wish to remove.

Collaboration limitations

Demo account users are limited to 10 respondent data records. So, if your survey has more than 10 data records collected the demo account user will still only see 10.

Only one user at a time can access the survey (to make changes etc.).

Collaborators cannot delete a survey, but can remove their own access.

Send a copy

The “Send a copy” feature allows you to send a full copy of your survey and its data (if any) to other users. This is an independent duplicate of your survey and data (like sending an attachment in an email). The copy effectively becomes theirs to do with as they wish. They have full access to edit, view results, run analysis and simulations, and download files. Edits to the duplicate do not affect your original survey and you cannot retract copies after they have been shared.

Sending a copy

To send a copy of your survey, simply generate a shareable link by clicking the “Generate Link” button under the “Share a copy” section. Copy the unique generated link and share it with others so they can receive a copy of the survey.

Anyone who clicks on the link will be prompted to accept or deny the copy after logging into their Discover account. The survey will be copied and added to their surveys list after a few moments.

Removing a sharing link

If you need to prevent further users from copying your survey and data, you can remove the link. Doing so destroys the link and a new unique link will need to be generated to continue sharing copies of your survey.

To remove a link, simply click the “Remove Link” link. Confirm that you want to destroy the link by clicking the “Remove” button in the pop-up window.

Duplicate copy limitations

Demo account users are limited to 10 respondent data records. So, if your survey has more than 10 data records collected the demo account user will still only see 10.
